ASTRO is a family of 10 Multiple Award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (MA IDIQ) contracts that is sponsored by the DoD. It was competed, awarded, and is administered by the General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Acquisition Service (FAS), Assisted Acquisition Service (AAS), Federal Integration and Management Center Systems (FEDSIM). With a 10-year ordering period, and no defined ceiling, ASTRO is anticipated to have a potential value in the multi-billions.

The Maritime Pool encompasses all components required to formulate a total solution to a requirement, including professional and/or non-professional labor, ancillary support services, and/or products to maintain, repair, overhaul, or otherwise support manned, unmanned, or optionally manned maritime platforms CONUS and/or OCONUS. All ASTRO Domains are applicable to the Maritime Pool: Operations, Maintenance/Readiness, Development/Systems Integration, Support, and Research & Development. Domains may be used to provide a total solution for any organization’s maritime requirements.
